Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 10, 2026
1. The short version
- We collect the minimum we need: your account details and your learning activity.
- We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- Payments are handled by payment providers (Lemon Squeezy, Apple, Google). We never see your full card details.
- Children under 13 need consent from a parent, guardian, or school, and we collect even less from them.
- You can access or delete your data at any time by emailing mindofahmed@gmail.com.
2. Who we are
Learning Blocks is operated by Ahmed Alabaas Hassan Ahmed, an individual based in Türkiye, who acts as the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: mindofahmed@gmail.com.
3. What we collect
Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address, a display name, a password (stored only in hashed form), and optionally a profile picture.
Learning activity. As you use the Service we record your progress: lessons completed, answers to exercises, XP, streaks, hearts, achievements, courses you create or enroll in, and classrooms you join. This is the core of the product; it is how your progress syncs across devices.
Content you create. Courses, lessons, and other material you build on the platform.
Purchase records. If you subscribe, we receive confirmation of your subscription status from the payment provider (Lemon Squeezy on the web, Apple or Google on mobile). Your payment card details go directly to those providers and never touch our servers.
Technical basics. Standard server logs (IP address, device type, timestamps) kept for security and debugging.
We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, ad networks, or cross-app tracking, and we do not collect your precise location or contacts.
4. How we use your data
- To provide the Service: accounts, lessons, progress sync, classrooms, leaderboards.
- To keep the Service safe: preventing cheating, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- To manage subscriptions and confirm entitlements with payment providers.
- To communicate with you about your account, such as important service or policy changes.
- To fix bugs and improve the product using our own records, not third-party trackers.
Where the law requires a legal basis (such as the GDPR or the Turkish data protection law, KVKK), we rely on: performance of our contract with you (running the Service), our legitimate interests (security and product improvement), consent where required (for example, for children's accounts), and compliance with legal obligations.
5. What others can see
- If you publish a course publicly, the course and your display name are visible to other users.
- If you join a classroom, your teacher can see your progress in that class, and classmates can see shared classroom features such as the leaderboard.
- Social features (such as following) show your display name, profile picture, and public activity like XP to other users.
Your email address is never shown publicly.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- Payment providers (Lemon Squeezy, Apple, Google) to process subscriptions and confirm purchases.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that store our servers and database, acting only on our instructions.
- Authorities, when we are legally required to.
Some of these providers are located outside Türkiye or your home country. When data is transferred internationally we rely on the safeguards available under applicable law, such as the providers' contractual data protection commitments.
7. Children's privacy
Learning Blocks welcomes young learners, and we take their privacy seriously.
- Children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent where they live) may only use the Service with verifiable consent from a parent, legal guardian, or their school.
- When a school or teacher enrolls students, the school is responsible for obtaining any parental consent required by local law.
- We collect only what the Service needs to work from children: account basics and learning progress. We do not show them ads, do not sell their data, and do not use tracking SDKs.
- Parents and guardians can review their child's data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing mindofahmed@gmail.com.
- If we learn that a child's account was created without the required consent, we will delete the account and its data.
8. How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except for records we must keep for legal reasons (such as purchase records) and short-lived backups that expire on their own schedule. Courses you published may remain available if you chose to leave them on the platform, but they will no longer be linked to your personal details.
9. Security
We protect your data with industry-standard measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under KVKK in Türkiye and the GDPR in Europe), you have the right to:
- access a copy of your personal data;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data ("right to be forgotten");
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format; and
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email mindofahmed@gmail.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. The effective date at the top always shows the latest version.
